A bit of a hiatus
So it's been a while since I last posted here. Mostly this was due to uni obligations, but in truth I've moved on from Resonance. Release 0.99 is mostly bug-free and there are no major changes I feel are necessary to make. Maybe one day I'll make a sequel from the ground up but there's very little need for me to change anything from 0.99. Sorry if I left anyone hanging, but hopefully the current ending(s) to the story satisfy you all. Resonance remains the single longest running project I've worked on and its scale for a single dev is something you can only really appreciate once you've played it all. I still occasionally think back on mechanics I implemented or twists in the story that I came up with and think "damn, that was pretty cool, wasn't it?" I remember late nights ubering home from the house of my friend who offered to help make sound effects with his studio equipment. He even came up with the theme tune on the spot - talented bastard. Sure, Resonance wasn't the financial success I had envisaged early on, maybe I didn't market it well enough, maybe the over-saturated platform is to blame, maybe it was too niche - that doesn't really matter. I learned so much and will now forever be able to call myself a Videogame Developer. Thanks to all who gave it a chance <3
